UK Defense start-up Arondite raises $10M for autonomous system management
Arondite, a UK-based AI startup has raised $10M to enhance human-machine collaboration in the management of autonomous defense systems. The Seed round was led by Index Ventures. It followed a $2.25M pre-seed round led by Concept Ventures and Creator Fund.
Arondite seeks to address the challenge of integrating autonomous systems, such as drones and ground robots, into an operational framework. The technology has the potential to improve military applications such as minefield clearance and counter-intrusion, where coordinated deployment of autonomous systems can improve safety and efficiency.
ARX Robotics secures €31M for battlefield robots
German defense tech startup ARX Robotics has raised €31M to ramp up production of its autonomous battlefield robots.
The funding round was led by HV Capital. Omnes Capital, NATO Innovation Fund (NIF), and Project A also participated. ARX will use the capital to further develop its operating system, Mithras OS, which is designed to modernize existing military vehicles through AI, sensor systems, and autonomous driving capabilities.
UNION Technologies Launches With $50M Seed Round
UNION Technologies closed a $50 million seed round, led by Bravo Victor Venture Capital (BVVC). Also participating were Silent Ventures, Decisive Point, Vanderbilt University, RKKVC, and IronGate. UNION’s goal is to modernize and advance the manufacturing of munitions, propellants, and related technologies for the US defense community. The company plans to offer cutting-edge manufacturing processes and advanced materials to enable the US defense and military sectors to regain technological superiority and strengthen national security.
CHAOS Industries Closes $275 Million Series C
CHAOS Industries has raised $275 Million in Series C funding. The round was led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Accel, with participation from StepStone Group, Overmatch Ventures, Tru Arrow Partners, and Valor Equity Partners.
The capital will be used to enhance CHAOS Industries’ advanced detection, monitoring, and communication solutions such as Vanquish™, a dual-use, multistatic commercial radar that provides early warning and tracking capabilities against unmanned aerial systems (UAS), missiles, and aircraft. The Series C round follows the November 2024 $145M Series B funding, which was led by Accel, with participation from 8VC and Overmatch Ventures.
